Kevin Rudd MP, Kim Carr MP and David Bartlett MHA visited Penguin Composites to
tour our production facilities, meet employees and view the innovative
products manufactured at Penguin.

Penguin Composites wins Innovation and Investment Grant - April 2010
Penguin Composites
Pty Ltd has been awarded a $1.27 M grant from the
North West and Northern Tasmania. Innovation and Investment Fund. The grant
will assist with the further expansion of production facilities at our 808 South
Road,
Penguin complex. It is anticipated that the grant will lead to almost 50
direct and indirect jobs.

Penguin Composites commissioned by
Pluton Resources
to build remote area accommodation for
Irvine Island.
Pluton chose to use
ICEWALL ONE Igloo units
(manufactured under license by Penguin Composites) as they withstand cyclonic
conditions and extreme temperatures. Penguin Composites will manufacture 12
Igloos for Pluton

Penguin Composites selected as Finalists in Business Awards September 2009
Penguin Composites
has been selected as one of the three Finalists in the 2009
ActionCoach My Business Awards, Best Regional Business category.
The Awards are run
by My Business magazine and ActionCoaching Business Coaching, with corporate
support of Australia's leading businesses, the awards recognise business in nine
separate categories.
The winners will be
announced at an Awards Dinner on Friday 2nd October and published in the
November 2009 issue of My Business magazine.

acquires Islander Campers
As of 1st June 2009, Islander Campers will be under the banner of Penguin Composites. Penguin Composites is employing the same staff, with professional service and reliability.
- April 2009 National fishing show
Hook Line and Sinker
have turned to Penguin Composites to repair and refurbish "The BEAST", The beast is a 23 foot Bertram. It is to have a pod built to carry a 350 V8 Yamaha outboard. This is an ongoing project with updates weekly.

- April 2009 Federal Minister for Small Business Dr Craig Emerson visited the North-West Coast Penguin Composites was privileged to meet with Dr Emmerson and Federal Minister for Braddon, Sid Sidebottom, giving them a tour of the factory. During the visit Dr Emmerson was able to share with Penguin Composites some ways in which the Government may be able to help with plans to expand and to strengthen the business.
- April 2009 Innovan Caravan Launched Penguin Composites has delivered an Australian first, Innovan caravan. Innovan caravan has a unique all composite chassis and builds on the innovative and space efficient Innovan module.
